Workplace Description

The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,700 employees across the country. The IT department is an important part of the crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools to streamline the police and improve the quality of police work.

The unit for Investigation, Prosecution, and Forensic Systems has overall responsibility for the development and lifecycle management of system support within investigation, prosecution, collection, and registers. The unit is also responsible for providing IT support within forensics, including cybercrime and IT forensics, as well as systems that support media and biometric analysis and biometrics.

The Biometric Systems group is responsible for developing and managing biometric IT solutions such as facial recognition and fingerprint technology. The group includes both technical product specialists and system developers, and we are now also looking for a requirements analyst to join the group.

Job Description

You will work in an agile team for the development and delivery of Biometric Systems. As a requirements analyst, you will work with analysis, mapping, and documentation of the organization's requirements and needs for system solutions. You will also help improve our work processes around testing.

You will work closely with the organization to identify its needs and create a requirements profile. You will conduct business visits and maintain ongoing dialogue with users and experts.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Work experience leading requirements work and process mapping in a complex environment with many different stakeholders, as assessed by the employer as relevant.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Swedish citizenship.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Current experience leading requirements workshops.
  • Recently worked with business development.
  • Experience supporting a development organization.
  • Work experience from a government agency or larger organization.
  • Experience with UX issues.

Personal Qualities:

You need to have good analytical skills, be meticulous, and have the ability and willingness to understand and immerse yourself in organizations and build trust. You are an adaptable team player who finds it easy to collaborate and can manage many points of contact.

Our requirements analysts lead workshops and expert groups with the organization to develop actionable requirements – your communication skills are central.
